How to Eliminate Render Blocking Resources & Unused JS and CSS In WordPress?

“Reduce unused JavaScript”, “Reduce unused CSS”, and “Eliminate render-blocking resources”.

What is render Blocking Resources?

Render blocking resources are elements on web pages that delay the loading of a web page. Most of the time they are javascript, CSS, and HTML files.

What is an Unused JS and CSS file?

If you have the HTML on your website, but the JS and CSS files are not used, then they will be downloaded again each time a user visits your website. It will increase your Page Loading time. Some of the JS loads only at the top portion of the Page but are not used in the rest of the page.

Why should we remove them?

As you know now Page speed is a Ranking Factor, It is crucial to have a good Google Page Speed Score. So to obtain a good google page speed score we have to eliminate these Problems.

Don’t Minify and Optimize CSS and JavaScript from any cache Plugin. If you are doing it, disable those settings right now.

Let’s Start Optimizing

Step 1

Go to your WordPress Dashboard, and Plugins, add new, and Search for Debloat. Now Install & Activate it.

Now is the time to Optime CSS and Javascript Files. So, go to WordPress Dashboard Settings and then Debloat, Optimized CSS & follow these settings.

Select the option if you are using Page Builder like Elementor or WP Bakery. But if you are using any other page builder then keep it unchecked.

Then go to Optimized JS and again follow these settings.

If you are running ads in the header sections of your website, then Uncheck the last option, otherwise, keep it checked.

Step 4

Now Clear the Cache and check Your Page Speed. You can see the changes Yourself.
